Ultimate Utah Wedding - Theme, Dress and Flowers chosen

The Ultimate Utah Wedding voting is going on and here is the latest details on what has been voted on. What a fun contest! (For those of you that don't know the University of Utah is teamed up with BrideAccess to have an annual contest to find the Ultimate Utah Fans who want to get married. We had 3 couples that made it to the finals and voting decided that Tara and Ryan won this amazing wedding. Now it is up to the public to decide the different pieces of the wedding.)

THE DRESS:  There were two dresses that Tara absolutely fell in love with when trying on dresses at Mary’s Bridal. What you didn’t see is the fun she and two of her bridesmaids had trying on multiple dresses and getting to know Teresa (the owner of Mary’s Bridal). All three of them found gorgeous dresses to wear to the Ultimate Utah Wedding. Thanks to Teresa, Tara found her favorite dress even though she was skeptical at first until Teresa convinced her to try it on. BRIDAL BOUQUET:  It is now time to see what gorgeous bouquet from Brown Floral will be accompanying the gown. There were two stunning options one of which was a white romantic themed bouquet and the other was a red tailgate themed bouquet. The winning bouquet is….

This is definitely a Crimson Club bridal bouquet. THEME: 

After a week of voting, we announced on Good Things Utah the theme of this years Ultimate Utah Wedding is going to be the Tailgate Theme! This means that the wedding is going to be a giant party in Utah Ute fashion! Castle wedding in England

Have you wanted to have a romantic wedding at a beautiful castle? Even if you can't get to Europe to do it, these pictures will give you some great ideas on how to get the feeling that you are looking for. Ian MacMichael photographed this wedding in Cheshire, England at the stunning venue Thornton Manor. Look for the amazing room where the dinner was held- I love the ceiling and the colors that were used in the wedding that go along so beautifully with the venue. Also the cake is gorgeous! A wedding fit for a queen.   Ian gave me the inside scoop about this wonderful wedding day...  

"We had a truly memorable day a couple of weeks ago with Sam and Greg. Ever since we first met up, we have got on really well, it actually felt like photographing a friends wedding! Thier whole day was at the stunning Thornton Manor on the Wirral. 

It rained pretty much all day, but, like we say to all our couples, wedding photography is not about the weather, or venues, it is about family and friends coming together to share a celebration. This was the cas for Sam and Greg, they didn't let the poor weaher affect any part of their day. In fact, we were able to get outside and do some stunning portraits of them. 

Hazel spent the morning iwth Sam and her party, while I was with the groomsmen. Things were pretty calm around the whole place to be honest, and there were lots of lovely personal touches around the venue to make it feel really intimate. All the indoor imagery was captured without any strobes, only using the available light, apart from the first dance images. This was challenging given that Thornton Manor is, since it is a stately home, quite dark inside. 

Since our style is predominately photo-journalistic, we did our best to remain unnoticed, and it was really good to hear from Sam a couple of days after the wedding that they were delighted with our approach on the day and that there had been so many positive comments about the photographers being "fun, easy going and not taking over, in fact we barely noticed them!"

We are delighted with the images from the day which we feel really reflect the whole atmosphere of a truly happy day. It had been really difficult job to pick just a few to show here, but here is a small selection..."
