What’s Your Homecoming Style?

What’s Your Homecoming Style?

by Cassandra Morris

Homecoming dress hunting is a cinch when you know your signature style. Here’s how to find your perfect dress, based on your future plans.

The Next It Girl

You’re a social butterfly whose main incentive for finishing homework is so you can meet up with friends. When you’re not scoring invites to the best parties, you’re throwing them! This dress with its bright color, sequin and beading accents and pretty tulle, is the perfect fit for homecoming plus all those birthday, New Year’s and (soon enough!) college socials you’ll be invited to.

Future Style Blogging Sensation

Trends are your thing. When you’re not setting them at school, you’re scouring style blogs and red carpet photos for the next big one. This dress features long sleeves (which are huge for fall!), gorgeous lace texture and sequin sparkle, plus a short flirty hem. You can say you wore it first.

An Upcoming Powerhouse

Kelly Cutrone is your idol and you’re totally moving to a big city after school is over. Work hard, play harder is your mantra… and you’re proud of it! Try on this fab style. It’s every serious New Yorkers favorite color and perfect for after-dark, but the sparkle says that you’re ready to have a good time no matter what!

The Budding Entertainer

If accepting a VMA for Best New Artist is in your future, you’ll need a diva dress that’s fit for the stage. This one has it all: sequins that will make you sparkle from every angle, a dramatic high-low hem, and a chiffon skirt that will flare out behind you when you’re making your entrance and exit. Be sure to pair this dress with some killer heels.

The World Traveler

Your town has been great and all, but you’re ready for some new scenery! You can totally see yourself taking trains around Europe for a year, or venturing to South America to see what you can find. This hanky hem is dreamy and wistful, while the sparkly beading at the waist says you’re ready for adventure.

A-Line Wedding Gown

Available in almost any wedding fabric, the classic A-Line gown flatters most body types.

Referred to as A Line because it’s shape resembles an upper case “A” with a fitted bodice and a skirt which flows outward from the waist.

Here, on the left, you can see a strapless A-Line Satin Wedding Gown which has pretty beading on the bodice and from which the classic skirt and train fall gracefully to the floor.

Taffeta and Lace Wedding DressThis style can emphasize a small waist, or down play a large bosom or hips and is flattering to most body shapes.

This gown has a corset style lace-up back which ensures a perfect fit, even if the bride has lost a few pounds on her pre-wedding diet!

On the right you can see another example of the A Line Wedding dress, and this one is made of Taffeta and Lace wedding fabric.

These simple, yet elegant bridal gowns emphasize a woman’s feminine shape without being overtly sexual.

This style of gown looks flattering on most women.

The strapless gown on the right has pretty detailing under the bosom, and an asymmetrical design with just a little lace peeping out from under the taffeta skirt.Off the Shoulder Satin Bridal Gown

The Off the Shoulder Bridal Gown shown on the left, also falls into the A-Line category and has off-the-shoulder styling and a cut-away skirt which shows the charming embroidery beneath.

This beautiful wedding dress shows this Bride’s feminine figure to perfection while at the same time, not showing too much and keeping the Bride modestly clothed.

Although other styles come and go in popularity, the Princess A-Line style has always remained a favourite of Brides everywhere.

You will find a wide selection of A-Line Wedding Dresses on the market, in a range of styles and prices.

Happy Wedding!
