Thanks to Kate Middleton who wore a lovely Lace and Satin Gown at her Wedding to Prince William in April 2011, Lace Wedding Dresses are becoming more and more popular.
Many of today’s Brides are looking for an updated look, on this Classic gown.
The gown shown here has an abundance of lace and the “fit-and-flare” design is popular as it emphasizes the female figure!
In the past, making lace was a traditional craft, but was very labour intensive, and therefore the cost was high and hand-made lace was often only used as a trim on a special gown.
Today, the making of beautiful, inexpensive lace is mechanized, so the cost of this gorgeous fabric is within the budget of most Brides-to-be.
The gown shown here is an A-Line Strapless Wedding Gown with embroidered Lace overlay over Satin, and is a beautiful garment, suitable for a casual or semi-formal Wedding.
For the Bride who wants a fun, shorter Wedding Dress, Lace is also suitable and there are many designs from which to choose, some of which are shown below.
